Maneva Is Founded
Maneva was born at the intersection of world-class research and real-world manufacturing. Co-Founder and CEO Rae Jeong is a ex-Google DeepMind research engineer who worked on AI and robotics at the frontier of lifelong reinforcement learning.
Co-Founder and CTO Kelvin Chan is a former Magna R&D engineer who developed next-generation perception technologies in computer vision, RF, and deep learning for automotive and manufacturing. Together, Rae and Kelvin bridge advanced AI research with the realities of the factory floor. Their mission is clear: to create the world’s first thinking factory—optimizing manufacturing and empowering people.
Foundation
Maneva launched a pilot with a manufacturer to validate its AI-driven quality control and machine integrity solution, demonstrating the ability to deliver immediate ROI without disrupting operations.
Following the pilot, Maneva began developing its core Video-to-Action AI technology—an adaptive platform that transforms visual data into real-time actions—laying the foundation for AI-powered factory workers, line supervisors, and ultimately, autonomous factories.
Breakthroughs
Maneva secured strategic partnerships with industry leaders like Laura Secord, demonstrating the real-world impact and scalability of our technology across high-demand production environments. These collaborations not only validated our solution with recognizable brands but also helped establish Maneva’s credibility in the market.
As a result, we began receiving inbound interest from top-tier venture capital firms and were recognized as a standout company by industry peers, further reinforcing our position as a category-defining player in industrial AI.
Commercialization
We expanded our product family to support a modular, scalable factory intelligence. We introduced ALIS (AI Line Supervisor), which oversees production flow, tracks efficiency, and ensures safety compliance across the line.
This evolution in product strategy, paired with strong customer validation, helped us secure a $10 million seed round to accelerate development, scale deployments, and move closer to our vision of fully autonomous, AI-driven factories.
Scaling the Thinking Factory
Maneva is pioneering the “Thinking Factory” - a new category where AI doesn’t just analyze data, it sees, understands, and takes action in real time. Powered by our patent-pending VITA and ALIS technology, our system ingests every pixel of production, learns continuously, and simulates thousands of scenarios without downtime.
Over time, the Thinking Factory evolves beyond optimization into invention - proposing cleaner, faster processes and discovering entirely new materials. This positions Maneva as a category-defining leader in the future of intelligent manufacturing.
