When is the right moment to act on a defect?

The right moment to act on a defect is the moment it happens. In this Short, Reggie Figueiredo, who has spent 25 years in continuous improvement, compares it to medicine: treatment has to come while there is still time to make a difference. Seeing a defect and acting on it are two different jobs, and plenty of systems stop at the first. VITA does both. It detects the defect and acts on the unit in the same moment, accepting, rejecting or rerouting it as it passes the camera, with no person in the loop.
